BC-MEN holds anywhere from 2 to 4 events per month, often at members private homes, but also at locations like San Onofre's nude beach, DeAnza Springs nudist resort, Deep Creek Hot Springs, & the Imperial Spa in Garden Grove, just to name a few!

That said, a new group has been re-born from the old!

The Barely Naked Campers is an online connection of gay and bi-sexual men who enjoy camping, hiking, cooking, picnicking, rock climbing and other outdoor activities au natural.  We are liberal, non-sectarian, non-smoking gay men of all ages and walks of life who get together to enjoy the outdoors and each others' fellowship.  Now based in eastern Kern County, our focus is the beauty and splendor of the mountains, canyons, beaches and other remote spots around southern California.  Besides being gay, we share our love of the outdoors and being naked.  Clothing is not an option.

The Barely Naked Campers is a bunch of guys who like to go desert and mountain off-roading, bicycling, hiking, exploring, have evening campfires, enjoy BBQs, all in the nude.  We go on day trips and have weekend overnighters.  Some of our local favorites include Death Valley, The Pinnacles and Remington Hot Springs.  Originally begun as Barely Outdoors and then Hot Spring Hounds, we have also visited Anza-Borrego, Mammoth Lakes, Joshua Tree, Bonanza Springs, the Salton Sea, Saline Valley, Blacks Beach and Deep Creek.  We often schedule activities for mid-week to minimize interference with tourists and non-nudists.

The Barely Naked Campers are not embarrassed to be without any clothes on.  Professional mountain climbers we’re not.  We are not a religious cult.  We are not a group/sex/orgy outlet.  We are not a formal club with dues.  We do not take money from our members for attending functions.  We have no board of directors and no t-shirts, coffee cups or other junk for sale.  We have no printed newsletter; all notices, invitations and reviews are via email.  We do not maintain a high public profile.  We are non-judgmental with regard to sex, national origin, race, marital status, physical handicap, medical condition, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status.  Contact and notification of events is strictly by email.  Our confidential membership list is shared with no one.

If you’re fed up with profit-driven gay outdoors/nudist clubs, sign up with the Barely Naked Campers!  New members are always welcome.  Reservations are rarely required.  There are no dues, by-laws or other formalities.
